So, I got these new shoes. I couldn't actually afford them myself, so I asked my mother to purchase them for me for an early birthday present while she was in town and she obliged (cause she's a great mama).
The shoes are called MBT's and it's quite and interesting concept, sorta like Earth Shoes, where your heel hits lower than your toes, except these shoes are meant to simulate walking in sand (like the Masai tribe). They look pretty ugly (big fat soles), but they actually feel like heaven. And for a person who has had as many foot problems as I have since moving to New York, I am at the point where I'm about willing to do ANYTHING to escape the pain. And escape the pain, do I ever. They are breathtaking. Lovely. Amazing. Pain free walking. It's like the kid who puts on glasses for the first time and realizes they can see...I can walk without pain in my heels!
For the next week or so I'll be breaking them in. A lot of people buy them to tone and loose weight and get good butt muscles (all good outcomes), but those things to matter to me. Curing my plantar fasciitis once and for all is the real goal. So, don't laugh, cause they look goofy, but cheer because they feel SO good!
