Eccentric Nut

I appreciated the title of some of the hardware that came with my new bedside table and dresser over the weekend. It's a put-it-together-yourself kind of deal, so I was sitting around with a hammer, multiple pieces of particle board and several different sizes of screw driver at 10:30 at night. My neighbors love me! It was awesome.

I spent the day at a teaching conference, and on my way out snapped this photo aiming towards Madison Square Park. When I got home, I watched one of my favorite shows called "Secrets of New York", mainly because I'm a huge dork, but also because I enjoy learning random facts about the city. So I learned all about how architects back in the day used to specifically put clock towers on their buildings because it was in a time before watches. Seemed to make sense, except that I felt my brain go "there was a time before watches?" Yes, indeed there was. Here ya go. Who never said I was an eccentric nut?!
