Nice F*in' Model. Honk, honk!

That's from Beetlejuice! I love that movie, and it was one of many topics discussed by Dan, myself, and our couchsurfer, Roberto. He's Italian and smokin', I mean rockin' so it's fun to have him around. We have gotten along quite nicely for the past few days actually.

Again with the tired today. Uhg. I wish that would stop. Had a relatively good day, with only a few snags here and there. Mostly I have to say that I love the little children I work with in my new Afterschool Program in East Harlem. I just had two boys today, a 6th and 7th grader, who hung out with me for their snack of popcorn and juice (which they managed to spill all over the floor). We played a fun game of truth/lie, where you sort of have to introduce yourself with 2 truths and a lie and the rest have to guess the lie. They loved it. They also didn't believe that I was adopted! I lied and said I've lived in 5 countries...I've only lived in 3, 4 if you count Brazil, but I don't feel like I lived there. No mailing address.

So school was rewarding in the end. Dan and I made a delicious dinner of chicken, brown rice (in my new rice cooker! Yay Pearl River Market!) and sauteed mushrooms. Those were the best! Here's my roommate Dan cooking. :)
American Idol was a highlight of the night, but then Roberto came home (he's taking a month long acting class at New York Film Academy) and we shared stories, movies/acting experience (our couchsurfer was in an ad! and took pictures. Here ya go!
