Tour de Harlem

Today for our training we took some time to read and research in our groups (the focus of my group is the Literary Circles and parties that took place during the Renaissance). It's a fascinating topic, and I'm really enjoying researching actually...crazy I know. And so much for summer vacation! I'm up at 7 and home at 4 both days so far this week!

This afternoon we took a walking tour of Harlem, and some of the main areas that we've been looking up. Quite the educational tour! Here are some pictures I took for the project:

Brownstones of Harlem
Cross Streets
Abyssinian Baptist Church
Outside the Renaissance Center and Ballroom (now in disrepair)
The YMCA- Langston Hughes' first stop when he came into town.
